SERVICE NODES

WHY ESCAPEMENT

What distinguishes our approach.

Everything in writing

Each service produces a document — assessment note, service log, or bound archive report — so the watch's record travels with it.

Honest assessment first

We start by telling you what we find, not what you might want to hear. You decide how to proceed with full information in hand.

Staged restoration scope

For complex work, scope is agreed in stages so nothing unexpected moves forward without your knowledge.

Water resistance tested

Gasket work is always followed by a pressure test. We log the result so you know the specification the watch leaves with.

Photographic documentation

Restoration work is photographed at each stage. The images form part of the archive report and stay on file for your reference.

Originality respected

We do not polish surfaces that were not polished from the factory, nor replace parts that still serve their function adequately.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Things people ask before bringing a watch in.

How long does a service take?
A condition assessment is usually ready within three to four working days. A standard service with water-resistance renewal takes two to three weeks. Archive-grade restoration timelines are agreed at the start of the project and depend on the scope of work involved.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes — we ask that you send a message or call ahead so we can give the watch the attention it deserves on arrival. Walk-ins are welcome for questions, but work intake is by appointment.
What brands and movements do you work on?
We work on mechanical and automatic movements across a broad range of Swiss and Japanese marques. When a piece requires parts or expertise outside our scope, we say so plainly before taking the work on.
What happens to the dial and hands during a service?
Dials and hands are cleaned carefully but not refinished unless you specifically request and approve it. Our position is that original patina has value and we will not remove it without an explicit conversation.
Can I follow the progress of a restoration?
Yes. For archive-grade restoration we agree the scope in stages and share updates at each decision point. You are consulted before any significant step moves forward.
Are the prices on the site final?
The prices shown are base figures for straightforward examples of each service. Complications, unusual movements, or parts that need sourcing can affect the total. We confirm the full cost before beginning any work.
How do I know the watch is secure while it is with you?
Every watch taken in receives a written intake receipt describing its condition at the time of handover. The workshop is on a managed-access floor on Silom Road. We are happy to answer any security questions directly.
